ALBERT N. GRECO - Senior Researcher
Is a Professor of Marketing at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. For the past 25 years, he has done extensive research on all aspects of the book and journal publishing industries.
His research specialties include: consumer and institutional demand analysis for books and journals; the retail sector; and the financial service sector.
He has done consulting work for major U.S., European, and Asian financial service corporations, The National Endowment for the Arts, UNESCO, etc.
His research has appeared in The Journal of Scholarly Publishing (University of Toronto Press; member of the journal’s editorial board); The Journal of Media Economics (Taylor & Francis; formerly associate editor; member of the editorial board); Learned Publishing; The Journal of Cultural Economics (Springer); and Publishing Research Quarterly (Springer; formerly on the editorial board).
He is the author or editor of 10 scholarly books, including: The Culture and Commerce of Publishing in the 21st Century (Stanford University Press), awarded the Alpha Sigma Nu Prize for the best professional (business) book published in the last three years. The Book Publishing Industry, 2nd ed. (Taylor & Francis); Access for All: Closing the Book Gap for Children in Early Education (The International Reading Association); The Media and Entertainment Industries (Allyn & Bacon); etc. His 11th book The State of Scholarly Publishing: Challenges and Opportunities (Transaction Publications) will be published in June 2009.
His book industry research has been presented at Oxford University, Cambridge University, The University of Toronto, The World Bank, The Library of Congress, Book Expo America, etc.
He completed his doctoral studies at New York University.
ROBERT M. WHARTON – Senior Researcher
Is a Professor of Management Systems at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. He is also Chair of the Management Systems area at Fordham. He is also a member of the school’s research committee. For the past 11 years, he has done extensive research on all aspects of the book and journal publishing industries. His professional areas of statistical expertise includes: time series forecasting; and management science.
He has done consulting work for the U.S. Department of Defense, the American College of Radiology, AT & T, American Express, Lou Harris Inc, The National Endowment for the Arts, etc. His statistical research has appeared in The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics Review, Biometrika, Sanyka (Series B), Technometrics, The Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, The Annals of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, Biometrical Journal, The Proceeding of the American Statistical Association, Communication in Statistics, etc. His book industry research has appeared in The Journal of Scholarly Publishing. PATRICK J. HYNES – Associate Researcher
A retired Professor of Information Systems at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Prior to coming to Fordham, he was an information systems executive at Caltext Petroleum Corporation (where he had global responsibilities), Mobil Oil Corporation, Lockheed Aircraft, and the U.S. Army. He did his M.B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania.
JOHN F. GRECO – Director of Information Technology
Is a senior executive in a global financial service firm, where he handles information technology issues. He did his undergraduate degree in Information Management at Fordham University’s College of Business Administration.
KEVIN DAILY – Assistant Researcher
Is a senior executive in a global financial service firm, where he works with Fortune 500 clients in the complex international bonds sector.

Is an analyst at a major financial services corporation. He did his undergraduate degree in Marketing at Fordham University’s College of Business Administration.
